For the fourth year, the St. Vincent de Paul Society is participating in a county-wide food drive to provide holiday meals to over 1,700 families. On the weekend of October 31/November 1, members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society will be handing out grocery bags with a list of food items needed for this year's drive. Please take a bag and return it before Mass the following weekend with your donated food items. Monetary donations will be used to purchase turkeys, bread and other items to complete the meal.
Items needed are (no glass please):
• 4 canned vegetables
• 2 canned beans (black, red or pinto)
• 1 box white rice
• 1 large box of instant potatoes
• 1 can cranberry sauce
• 1 can gravy or 2 envelopes turkey gravy
• 1 can large yams
• 1 dessert (cake/icing, brownie mix)
• 1 box rolls/muffin mix
• 1 box stuffing
• 1 canned fruit (pears, peaches, fruit cocktail)
Please return the filled bag to the Church ONLY on November 7 before or after the 5:30 p.m. Mass or November 8 before or after all Masses. Thanks in advance for caring and sharing with those in need. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
